Owner & Home Buyer – Josh Martin
After studying philosophy and psychology in college, then working for years as a plumber, I stumbled into real estate in 2016 when I bought a problem house and rehabbed it top to bottom. I guess I loved it! Since that time I’ve mostly worked as a general contractor and home rehabber. My vision for the company is to do 1-2 dozen high quality projects a year and provide a near perfect end product to our eventual buyer.
As for me outside of work, I like projects and hobbies. I build furniture and assemble models. Truth be told I’m kind of a nerd and every Friday I play one of a long list of very nerdy board games with some friends. In addition to that I spend a lot of time with my family and my girlfriend, hoping to start a family in the next few years.
Marketing and Administration – Erin Lake
Although you aren’t likely to ever speak with Miss Lake on the phone or at any point of the transaction, she is just important as any of us in the business. She does all the unseen, tedious administrative tasks that many people (including me) don’t like to do. She keeps our transactions and projects on point, on schedule, and on budget with extraordinary organizational skills; she keeps our mailers and letters going out with careful scheduling and planning; and she does 100 other things that are just as vital.
Erin graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Masters in Educational Counseling in 2015 and after working in Milwaukee Public Schools for several years she was ready for a change of direction. She works with us part time (because she is so wildly efficient) and with a nationally known educational materials company full time.
In her free time she likes to go to Orange Theory Fitness to get her pump on, or watch lame reality TV to unwind.
Hunter Eary – General Contractor and Project Manager
Hunter is our rehabber extraordinaire. He’s done everything from digging up and repairing sewer lines to rebuilding roofs. He manages our projects after we buy the houses and with an exacting eye for detail he makes sure that the end product we envision comes out as near to perfect as one can get.
In his free time he spends a lot of time involved with mentorship and outreach to the Native American community. (He is a member of Ho-Chunk Nation).
